The Cottage

Huntleigh Cottage is a fully self-contained three-bedroom farmhouse surrounded by its own private garden and plenty of room to breathe.

Inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable, relaxed stay. There’s a separate kitchen, dining room and living area, three bedrooms, bathroom and separate toilet, along with quality linen and all the essentials for a self-catering holiday.

In winter, light the woodburner, settle into the warmth and enjoy a quiet evening with a good book or a board game.

In summer, throw open the ranchslider and step onto the sheltered deck and enjoy a barbecue as the sun drops behind the hills.

There is an outdoor stone fireplace to spend the evenings around while the kids toast marshmallows.

Guest interaction

When you stay at Huntleigh Cottage, you have the whole place to yourself.

Guests have full access to the cottage and large private garden surrounded by established trees and an orchard. There’s a sandpit and toys for younger children.

Outside of lambing season (Sept-Oct) you’re welcome to do our 3km farm walk right on your doorstep, with spectacular views across the paddocks towards the Rock and Pillar Range.

And if you're lucky, you might meet Jazzy Jeff, our very friendly pet wether sheep. He has a particular fondness for bread and apples - just watch little fingers!

A working farm

Huntleigh Cottage isn't a staged farm experience. It's a working sheep and beef farm - and that's part of the charm.

Depending on the season, you may see sheep, cattle, calves and lambs moving through the nearby yards or paddocks. You might hear a tractor working in the distance, see a motorbike or farm ATV getting around or hear John calling the farm dogs while he's working nearby.

Our three children are at boarding school and come home regularly and, when they're here, you may spot them on bikes, motorbikes or ponies.

Sorry, we don't offer pony rides, and we're unable to sell farm meat to guests.

We ask that guests respect farm boundaries and follow any seasonal access restrictions, particularly during lambing.

As this is a working farm, we don’t allow dogs.
